Case Study (Orchid Industry at 台灣糖業股份有限公司)
Floricultura del Paraguay S.A., a greenhouse specialized in orchid production, sent their team members Aldo and Nilda to Taiwan to enhance their technical knowledge and operational standards (SOP) for high-quality orchid cultivation.
They participated in a professional training program with Taiwan Sugar Corporation, one of Taiwan’s leading exporters of orchids.
The Agriculture Business Division of Taiwan Sugar Corporation has extensive expertise in orchid cultivation and is a major player in the global orchid industry, specializing in the mass production and export of Phalaenopsis (moth orchids).
Approximately 90% of its orchid production is exported to key markets such as the United States, Japan, Canada, and Europe.
Management & Transportation
We received Aldo and Nilda upon arrival in Taiwan, ensuring a smooth transition by:
- Assisting with SIM cards and internet connectivity
- Providing local orientation
- Coordinating transportation to the training facility in Tainan
On-Site Interpretation & Daily Support
Throughout the program, TAIWO provided full-time on-site interpretation services (08:30–18:00), facilitating communication between:
- Trainers and professors
- Participants (Aldo and Nilda)
Beyond translation, TAIWO also:
- Acted as a technical communication bridge
- Retained knowledge from the training
- Provided post-training support, allowing clients to follow up with questions even after returning to Paraguay
